Kedma Project

The Kedma Youth Village is a boarding school for 14-18-year old youth at risk, placed by the authorities in order to provide them with a better education. The youth village resembles a small kibbutz and is located in mid-southern Israel, 45 min from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. We conduct a small farming program in which the students are involved organic agriculture. The farm, covering an area of 2,000m², consists of greenhouses, a little orchard, an olive grove and open fields, where all kinds of vegetables are cultivated.

As part of the project, we teach the youngsters to sell organic products directly to the consumers. People order vegetables and the students are required to provide good service at competitive prices. The project trains them to apply organic principles to their lifestyle. There are currently 25 children participating in this project and we believe this is the organic concept.
